Welcome, you have arrived at the home page of Cyprus Dam Fishing, your opportunity to see what’s happening in Cyprus Dams around Polis, Paphos and Limassol. First I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have been fishing since I was 11 years old and enjoyed it ever since. I did stop fishing when I got married and had a family for about 6 years. I started again and have been fishing ever since. In the UK, I pleasure fished and match fished. The best match I won was in 1984 fishing for Pendle Burnley & District A.A. in the N.F.A. Div.4 National Championship on the river Ancholm. A few years later in 1993 I fished for Langroyd A.A. from Colne Lancashire and we won the Div 4 N.F.A. Team Competition on the River Trent.

In 1989 I bought a fishing tackle business in Burnley and ran it until I moved to Cyprus in 2005. Before moving to Cyprus my wife and I came to Cyprus on holidays for over 9 years and spent many a happy hour fishing the dams of Cyprus. When we moved to Cyprus I started Enterprise Fishing Trips in 2006 and still do them to this day. My web site

In 2007 I joined The Old Shack Fishing Club which is the only fishing club in Paphos that I am aware of. They are great bunch of people to fish with, with lots of fun and rivalry between us. Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at the Old Fishing Shack pub near Bar street Paphos 7-15 pm. Further information can be obtained from Athos on 99805390

There are 6 main Dams around Paphos Polis and Limassol which are used for fishing they are :- Paphos And Polis Asprokremmos, Mavrokolymbos, Evretou, .

Asprokremmos is one of the largest of the dams in Cyprus, it fishes reasonable all year round, in winter roach feed best then carp and big mouth bass. Summer it’s all change, catfish, carp, silver bream, Tilapia and big mouth bass. Mavrokolymbos dam, this dam can be an excellent place to fish but at times very difficult if there is a lot of you. Evretou dam, there are some excellent fish in this dam large carp, roach, silver bream, big mouth bass, catfish and zander, but very hard to fish. Yermasoyia dam Fishes all year round, roach, silver bream, carp, catfish and big mouth bass. Kouris is also one of the biggest dam in Cyprus, some times hard yet some times one of the best fisheries in Cyprus. Roach, silver bream, big mouth bass, zander, catfish and carp. Polemidia is the most consistent of the dams, but there are only carp in this dam.
