The venue was Aspro and again, due to holidays etc. only 6 members fished. In first place was Colin farrar with 61bs 7ozs; second place went to Brian Bessett with 51bs and third place went to Chas Hunt _~. The pairs were won by Colin & Chas with a combined weight of 10lbs 7ozs. Total weight epugbtwas 211bs 2ozs.

17th March
The venue was Evretou with a total of 13 anglers fishing. Welcome back to Alan Voss, Geoff Poole and Dave Wilkinson - three of our overseas members. Also welcome to Frank Wilson who is a new member. The dam didn't fish very well with all but two of the anglers blanking. The fish are spawning at the moment and not interested in catching any bait! The winner this week was Lance Chubb with 5ozs and in second place was Athos with 2ozs. The pairs were won by Lance and Geoff with 5ozs. Total weight caught was 7ozs

24th March- Cancelled due to bad weather

31st March
A total of 15 members fished at Polemidhia this week. Our longest serving lady member Sylvia Sawbridge won the match with 21bs . Sylvia was fishing a tip rod and landed a lovely carp PLUS its mate who followed her into the landing net. None of the members can ever remember that happening before. In second place was Tim Newbury with 11b 5ozs and joint third place was won by Jackie Blain & Steve James with 11ozs each. The pairs were won by Sylvia & Athos of a combined weight of 21bs 12ozs. Total weight caught was 51bs 15ozs.

7thApril
This week the venue was Aspro and a total of 13 members fished. In first place was Chas Hunt with 81bs 4ozs, second place went to Ellen O'Meara with 51bs 2ozs and in third place was Tim Newbury with the only carp of the match. Once again, it was really good to see one of our lady anglers featuring in the top three. The pairs were won by Jim & Ellen with a combined weight of 10lbs 1ozs. There was a bitterly cold wind coming off the dam - both Geoff and Sylvia will vouch for this - they fished on the end pegs and were blue with the cold! Total weight caught was 40lbs 3ozs.

14th April
We were back at Aspro this week and a total of 12 members fished. In first place (again) was Chas Hunt with 41bs 7ozs, in second place was Colin Farrar with 21bs 12ozs and third place went to Jim Schofield with 21bs 9ozs. The pairs were won by Chas & Ellen with 61bs 12ozs and the total weight caught was 221bs 13ozs. It started off quite chilly but warmed up as the day went on. The fish were not really biting to begin with but came on a bit later - they are really quite small - the dragonflies appear bigger! Welcome to our new member Dave Saddler.

21st April
The venue this week was at Kannaviou and a total of 10 members fished. In first place was Steve Duckworth with 81bs 5ozs, in second place was Colin Farrer (second week running) with 31bs 1oz and third place went to Chas Hunt with 21bs 14ozs. The pairs were won by Steve D & Dave S with 91bs 4ozs and the total weight caught was 211bs 9ozs. This is the first time we have held a match at Kannaviou and it proved to be quite successful. It is a beautiful dam tucked away with just the sounds of the frogs croaking and the birds singing.

28th April
We were back at Kannaviou this week and a total of 15 members fished. In first place (again) was Steve Duckworth with 71bs 10ozs, in second place was Andy Howard with 51bs 15ozs and third place went to Jackie with 41bs 6ozs. (Jackie had quite a few tilapias in her catch). The pairs were won by Andy & Ellen with 71bs 12ozs and the total weight caught was 421bs 14ozs. Once again, it's good to see the ladies featuring in the top results. It was also good to see both Rod & Vic back fishing this week after a long time off due to illness. Welcome to our overseas members Andy, Steve & Paul.
